Very short skirts usually look better with lower heels. Stiletto heels are a very unsophisticated choice with very short skirts, but they can also make your legs actually appear shorter when paired together. If you are considering boots stick to knee-high, midcalf and ankle cut off the leg by creating horizontal lines.
Straight, pleated, and A-line skirts work well with kitten heels.
Knee length skirts aren’t the best choice paired with flats, unless we’re talking summer with a flowing skirt and flip-flops;) Now classic stylists will tell you to never do this.
Long skirts lend themselves to a sophisticated look quite easily. They look great with just about any shoe, except loafers. Unless of course it is a high heeled loafer.
